사랑밭 새벽편지(영문-여섯 개의 감옥)

The first is "The prison of self-absorption".
Nothing can prevent high maintenance women
and men who need many things such as money,
material goods and affection.

첫째 감옥은
"자기도취"의 감옥이다.
공주병, 왕자병에 걸리면,
정말 못말리지요.


The second is "The prison of criticism"
People who always see other’s defects
and enjoy criticizing others.

둘째 감옥은
"비판"의 감옥이다.
항상 다른 사람의 단점만 보고,
비판하기를 좋아합니다.


The third is "The prison of hopelessness"
People who always have negative view of the world,
complaint and hopelessness.

셋째 감옥은
"절망"의 감옥이다.
항상 세상을 부정적으로만 보고,
불평하며 절망합니다.


The fourth is "The prison of past-oriented".
People who always think past and waste present.

넷째 감옥은
"과거지향"의 감옥이다.
옛날이 좋았다고 하며,
현재를 낭비합니다.


The fifth is "The prison of envy"
People who think bigger other’s belonging
than his/her own.

다섯째 감옥은
"선망"의 감옥이다.
내 떡의 소중함을 모르고,
남의 떡만 크게 봅니다.


The sixth is "The prison of jealousy"
People who want to speak ill of others
and feel jealous of other’s success.

여섯째 감옥은
"질투"의 감옥이다.
남이 잘되는 것을 보면 괜히 배가 아프고,
자꾸 헐뜯고 싶어집니다.

People can be happy if they escape from these six prisons.

사람이 이 여섯가지 감옥에서 탈출하지 않으면
결코 행복할 수 없다고 합니다.

Let’s think about if we are locked in these six prisons.

우리 모두 이 여섯가지 감옥에 갇혀 있지는 않은지
생각해 볼 일입니다.
