신문팔이 소년(사랑밭 새벽편지)

A rainy day afternoon,
an old gentleman was shivering with
the cold in front of a shop
Just at that moment,
he found a paperboy was passing by.

어느 비오는 날 오후에
노신사가 문 앞에서 떨고 있다가
지나가는 신문팔이 소년을 보았습니다.


The old gentleman bought a paper
and then asked the paperboy.
'Hello, it is a cold weather, isn’t it?'
The paperboy answered smilingly watching
the old gentleman.

노인은 신문을 한 장 산 뒤 물었습니다.
'아가야, 춥지 않니?' 그때 소년은 웃는
얼굴로 노신사를 바라보면서 말했습니다.


"I felt it was very cold before I meet you."

"아저씨, 나는 아저씨를 만나기
전에는 무척 추웠어요."

It is getting cold.
It is time that we need take care of
neighbors who are in difficulty.

갈수록 날이 추워집니다.
우리 주위의 어려운 이웃들을
돌아보는 따뜻함이 간절합니다.
